The Family

Hannah Macdougall with her brother Duncan

Having the support of her family has enabled Hannah to achieve her dream of becoming a Paralympian and continues to be one of her pillars of strength. Hannah’s family has been behind her every step of the way, whether it be from stepdad John driving Hannah to swimming training for seven years at 4:12am every morning, or her brother Duncan providing vocal encouragement during races that could put megaphones out of business, or her mum Cecily who has ridden the roller coaster ride with her.

Cecily, John, and Duncan have been, and continue to be, a source of strength, inspiration and happiness for Hannah as she journeys on to Rio.
