Not sure where to begin. Maybe with the fact that the dorky grin from ear to ear has not come off my face since last night. Or maybe that in my room there is now a lot more carbon. Or maybe that on my maiden voyage this morning on the Cervelo R3 I felt like I was flying. Or maybe I should warn you that there will be a whole lot of excitement, gratitude and thanks contained in this post?!

Hampton TT action

Yesterday afternoon I made my way over the Hampton Cycles as I received the nod from Leigh – my new R3 and P3 Cervelo bikes were ready to be collected. I literally had a spring in my step all day. Down the back of the shop were my new bikes. How crazy is this. TWO new bikes. Better than Christmas. I went into shock (think I still am) that these beautiful bikes were mine to ride on for the season. Wowzers.

After transferring my power cranks and making the bikes ‘feel like mine’ (dimensions, saddle height, bar angles etc), I was ready to roll. I set my alarm early for Tuesday morning; normally it would be a 5:15am wake-up, the alarm went off at 5:03am so I could go out and get a feel for my new R3 before meeting up with my The Hurt Box teamies. Amazing handling, super smooth, and very sexy (how I like my men and coffee to be honest). My maiden voyage was awesome. All admirations were very welcome.

Naturally I cannot thank Hampton Cycles enough for their belief, support, and generosity on my journey to Rio 2016. I am feeling extremely blessed and cannot wait for the many upcoming adventures on the Cervelo R3 and P3. Bring it on!
