Leading into the 2016 UCI Para-Cycling Track World Championships, Green Onions Organic Grocer and I are excited to announce a new partnership.

Green Onions has been a part of East Malvern since 2010 and is an avid supporter of reinvesting back into the local community. The new partnership comes at an exciting time as Chris and Caroline, owners of Green Onions, look to expand their business and create stronger ties with their customers and community.

Having the support of an organisation whose values closely align to my own not only makes a lot of sense but also allows us to combine our superpowers to save the world – one recipe, one nutritional tip, and one insight into your produce at a time… “When you buy local, you get a product that is much more closely related to the producer. This means better quality, fewer preservatives, lower transportation costs, less pollution during transportation and better products” says Chris. So together we are not only looking to fuel my journey to the pinnacle of cycling but also helping you and the local community to maximize your health and gain greater insights into the stories behind your produce.

In the future, expect more expert insights into my foodie posts – how to eat seasonal, the benefits of organic and biodynamic produce, and how to make the world’s best banana bread. Not sure if you are getting a sense of my excitement… We all know I am a foodie off the bike (and on it, hence the banana bread). I am also a big believer that what we put into our bodies (and what we don’t) has a massive impact on our physical, mental, and emotional health. So here is to a happy, healthy, and nutritious partnership!

Until next time,

Ride with a smile, ride with a purpose, ride in the moment,
